According to the news that emerged today, Apple will offer an AirTag-like feature on the remote that it will bring with Siri Remote or the new Apple TV.

Good news for those who constantly lose their TV remote, came from Apple. With its statement, Apple announced that location sharing can now be done on the controllers that will be produced. Thanks to the new control called Siri Remote, which will be equipped with an AirTag-like system, users will be able to track the location of their remotes.

How will the system work?

The system was discovered in IOS 16 and future IOS models. Receiving location information will be possible via the U1 chip. Of course, they do not currently have any television models on the market in which this chip is included. Since this chip is available in Iphone 11 and later models, remote tracking can be done on Iphone 11 and above models. It is stated that this operation can be done with the help of the remote control feature in the "Control Center" of iPhone models.

This feature was first discovered by MacRumors. In their sharing, they stated that they discovered 2 different features named "SiriRemote4" and "WirelessRemoteFirmware.4" among the codes of iOS 16. Of course, this also indicates that a 4th generation controller is coming. It is stated that he thinks that a new Apple TV model will be introduced that will support this feature in 2022, as claimed in the leak news made by Ming-Chi Ko on Twitter.

So what do you think about this remote? You can share your thoughts in the comments.
