Money, Banking & Economic Growth

This book consists of three parts. Initially, it discusses issues relevant to money, monetary policy and central banking. The second part is devoted to the banking sector and includes topics such as the role of banking and finance in the economic growth, and presents the measurement techniques with respect to the confidence in the banking sector. Several confidence narratives are presented to strengthen its importance in the overall economy. The last part of the book includes two empirical applications related to the banking sector. The first empirical evidence evaluates the relationship between credit standards and conditions. The second one tries to measure the confidence in the banking sector and investigates its effects on the economic growth.
